The oil stock market in Canada is at consolidation, meaning there is a chance of making money on the horizon! Posted by Picasa

Update: Sept 11

My IUC stopped out a while back.

Looking at the TSX sector charts, the materials/mining chart looks like it is breaking out/or is about to. Either that or a double top is forming.

Update: August 31

Just wanted to put in a word about the oil markets here... Recent events involving hurricane Katrina has increased the oil prices dramatically and moved up some of the oil stock prices. Eventually though, the market will calm down and a correction will happen and so it's not really a worthwhile play in my opinion.

Still holding on to IUC...

Update: August 28

I went on a two week vacation and most of my stocks stopped out:

CNQ: sell at 56.50 (+219.30)
DDV: sell at 36.40 (+79.10)
WTO: sell at 28.03 (+211.30)

Still holding IUC ...

Update: July 21

Thank god for IUC, it's been absorbing some of the losses of my oil stocks as they trade sideways. I'm not too sure if the oil bull is going to continue. As such I have moved my stops closer.

The oil market has not really reacted very much to the terror attacks in London today. The last major London attack was followed by a breif dip in the market. This is perhaps a good sign.

Notes:
Breakout on manulife financial, bank of NS
Health care sector is going crazy today
Financials is really strong (maybe rotate into financials to diverisify)
